Someone's Child

Someone's Child is a non profit organization that is dedicated to bringing awareness to the subject of substance abuse and to providing support to those whose lives have been affected by addiction and overdose. We originally started out as a simple facebook memorial page dedicated to my daughter Mandi who passed away in 2014 from an accidental overdose. Mandi struggled with addiction for over 10 years, and during those 10 years, we struggled along with her, watching helplessly as her addiction slowly sucked the life and laughter out of her. Even though Mandi had her own struggles with substance abuse, she still warned others of the dangers of drugs and how easy it was to become addicted. Mandi did not want anyone to go through what she had been through and her dream was to achieve long-term recovery and then help others who were also struggling. We are just trying to finish what she started.

If you are suffering from addiction, or if you have a loved one suffering from addiction, you don't have to worry about being judged on this page. With this page, I hope to offer words of encouragement and inspiration as well as providing information and awareness to the drug epidemic in our local area as well as across the U.S..
